The bags are made with a thick material, reminds me of a thick tarp, and the handles are secured nicely and make it easy to pick up a 1/2 to 3/4 full bag of dirt and plant. I bought two sets for tomatoes, onions, potatoes, and broccoli and they are very happy plants. I'm looking forward to beinh able to easily dump out the dirt and fold these flat for the winter!
