Edit: Been using it long enough to say this device- it’s holding up. Reservoir is adequate! It rocks! Upgrade to 5 Stars!
We have over forty house plants. My partner does the watering. He’s zealous about plant care and seemingly blind about water overflow, condensation, etc. Despite my best efforts, he has terribly damaged some of MY furniture pieces. It is infuriating.
Just ordered one of these. It’s quite sturdy and I am hopeful about the design.
As for people saying they’re ugly... i have yet to find anything more attractive... unless you like plastic saucers... the design allows for easy air flow, drainage and excess water capture, containment and disposal. The practicality outweighs aesthetics. Usually attention is on the beauty of the plant, not the saucer. If not, get new friends or start over on your plants?
If anything, people would notice this tray because it’s simply ingenious and the only one I could find In such an efficient design that is at an affordable price point- an important consideration when you have at least 30 plants sitting on wood furniture and floors. I’m just hoping the reservoir is big enough. We’ll see... only giving 4 stars for now until I see how it works over time. But initial impression is fantastic.

Excellent design
I recently purchased a rug for my home office and needed a reliable water collection for a large pot with a planted ficus tree so it wouldn't drain on the rug. This was perfect. It literally is sturdy enough to hold my 100 pound pot with soil and the tree. I'm not concerned with water draining and staining anymore.
