I have only been using these a week, but I am liking them so far. I read other reviews about people struggling to get them to work, but when I read that they operate like the old roll-up window shades, I knew I'd have no problem. The instructions also give detailed directions on how to operate the pulley mechanism, so hopefully, this clears up any confusion. I am using these for 10" potted plants, which are heavy when watered. They are holding up well.

Operating Principle
The Plant hooks pulley working priciple is in the opposite way to the seat belt. There is about 8 position. Each position is about 10 cm apart. The rope must be pulled slowly to get stuck in position.When you pull the rope quickly, you will always pull the rope to the end( the rope won't stop in the height which you want to).
How to block on different height ?
1.Take out hook
2.Pull down the strap rope perpendicularly to the ground on desired height, if it is has not block, do not immediately let go.
3.Pull out 1-3cm to block it with slowest speed ( suggest 10mm/s ), please make sure the goods weight is not less than 1.2kg or not exceed 15kg.
4.To higher, hold the plant pot bottle slowly up to the length you like and then release the plant.
5.To lower, hold the plant pot bottle up a little then let the plant weight helps fall down until the height you want , then you can release the plant

My return window closed Feb 9, it’s now Feb 18. The ribbon for one of the two pulleys I’m using has gotten twisted from going up and down. It won’t straighten back out so using the pulley to go up and down no longer works. I don’t see a way to contact support for a replacement and the product support link doesn’t address this.

If you remember how window shades used to work, you'll know immediately how to work these. If you don't remember window shades, read on!
I can’t easily water some outdoor hanging flower pots hung up high. I need a stool or ladder to pour water directly into them. That’s “friction” and doesn’t encourage me to water them regularly.
Last summer, I’d either use a stool or aim the garden hose water in an arc to water them from below. Both methods were a pain, minor friction, but friction.
But I CAN reach the bottom of the pots.
So, these Plant Hook Pulleys help a lot and take most of the friction out of watering them regularly.
SEE VIDEO: I just reach up to the pot, push it up about an inch, then let it down quickly, water it, then push it back up to the top and then let it out slowly, where it catches and sits.
“Pull down quickly, here comes the pot. Pull down slowly, there stays the pot.” You’ll get the hang of it.

It does add about 6 inches to the hanging, which means the pot will now hang at it’s highest about 6 inches lower than without this device. No big deal to us.
SEE PHOTO: It also is a pulley encased in black plastic about the size of an 8-year-old’s hand and seems to extend about inches as I’ve said, so it looks like a contraption up there, a bit of technological engineering which might ruin any clean aesthetics you were going for, but for us, it’s worth it and easily forgotten and overlooked.

These are a short girl’s best friend! I recently got into house plants and wanted to hang some but being short, it was a pain every-time I needed to water or check them. Someone mentioned these pulleys so I ordered a set and they were easy to set up! They don’t lock into place unless there is constant weight on them, so I had to “Rig”
It to hook on my tall plant stand while it was empty or rotate hanging plants as I take one down to be watered, otherwise I’m too short to grab the end. I wish they locked in place regardless if there’s weight on them or not!
The only thing I might suggest was to make them
in white so they blend in better with “most” ceiling colors. That chunk of black kind of stands out and possibly takes away from the plant focus.
Customer service was outstanding and prompt, when I had a question. They seem to hold weight well and I’m sure I will be ordering more of these for other uses around the house!!
